Our TR baby (Tommy) is now 9 months
old and guess what, PREGNANT AGAIN!!!! I have had 3 sets of
Beta's and they are where they are supposed to be. I go back
to have another on Wed. and Ultrasound next Monday. So please
keep us in your prayers.. I know GOD is great. This was a shock to
us. We didn't plan this we were waiting to see if we wanted any more
children and were going to discuss this in the spring. LOL I guess
we won't be discussing it in the spring.. This was the Lords will.
He knows better then us. After the shock wore off hubby and I
realized we are truly blessed...

GOD IS SO GREAT
October 2002
We arrived in Pharr TX at our hotel about 10:30 pm Thursday. Friday
morning (It was our Anniversary!!) we went to have breakfast and
check out the hospital. BTW the directions to the hospital were
perfect we didn't have any problems getting there. When we walked
into the hospital there was a man at the front desk and I told him
Dr. Perez and he walked us back to the nurses which didn't speak
English. I just told them Dr. Perez, TR, and Levi. In about 2 mins.
the phone rang and the nurse handed me the phone, it was Levi. He
asked me if we were staying the night at the hospital and I told him
no we would be back in the morning at 7 am and he said not to eat or
drink anything after 10 pm.
The next morning we got up and headed for the hospital again. Since
it was so early in the morning there was hardly any traffic on the
bridge. BTW stay in the far left lane when you cross the bridge. The
far left lane is for cars, and when your getting off the bridge and
going thru the booth if you get the red light it means to pull over
for inspection. We didn't know this at that time and kept on going.
No one ever came after us. Thank God.
Anyways we made it to the hospital at about 6:30 am the nurse took
us right to our room and put in my IV and before I knew it Levi was
in my room getting me ready for surgery. He brought in a wheel chair
and put these green booties on me and a hair net and we were off to
the OR room. I remember feeling really excited and scared at the
same time. I met the anesthesiologist Dr. Moreno, and I was teasing
Levi asking him where his little booties were. I waited for a couple
of mins while they were finishing prepping themselves. Then I walked
over to the OR table got up on the table. Dr. M was feeling my spine
I told Levi that I was scared and didn't want to feel the epidural.
He reassured me that I wouldn't feel it and put something in my IV
and I was out. I never felt the epidural or the cath being put in. I
woke up a couple of times. The first time I woke up I asked where my
husband was my Dh came over and started talking to me. The second
time I woke up Dr P was stitching me up.
I woke up as they were transferring me into bed. I asked Levi how
long my tube lengths were and he told me my right side was the worst
a lot of reconstruction they had to make a new hole into my uterus,
remove a small cyst 2-3 cm, and I had 5 cm and on my left side I had
7 cm. Praise God I was very happy. Later that night I went thru a
coughing spell. used the whole tube of pain medicine, and asked for
more. Levi came in to check on me and brought me in another tube of
pain medicine. I used that all up by morning. The next morning was
the worst for pain after Levi took out the IV, Tube, and Cath. I had
a hard time getting out of bed, the pain was so bad I had to get
back into bed. About 1/2 hour later I met another American lady. She
had her surgery AFTER me on Sat. and was already up and moving
around. Boy did I feel like a baby then! She came into my room and
introduced herself. She told me she was from the Chat group. She
gave me her small pillow to use to get out of bed and then coaxed me
out of the bed. THANK YOU C!!! If it wasn't for you I would still be
there in bed.
Well I finally made it out of bed and we went for a walk and went
outside for a while. They have a couple of benches outside the
hospital. So we sat on the benches and talked and talked and talked.
For over an hour. We waited with her until her cab driver came and
then they were off and so were we. I never did personally get
to meet Dr Perez, which was a disappointment. But Levi took great
care of us!!!! We left the hospital and got stopped at the border
again. It was fast and easy.
I would do this again in a heart beat. Levi is a God send!! The
price was awesome!! And the way Dr. P could fix my right side and
still be able to have 5 cm was incredible. Praise the Lord!!!
