(blessings update!!!)
I
wanted to share all the blessings God has given me with my 2nd
reversal baby. Everything was going fine until 18 weeks of
pregnancy and they performed an ultrasound. They saw my placenta was
covering my cervix and told me I had placenta previa (complete). I
was a nervous wreck! I usually don't have one ounce of trouble
during pregnancy. My doctor felt that the placenta previa is caused
because I have had lots of pregnancies. I was put on bedrest and
just watched closely. If I went anywhere I had to use a wheelchair.
My church and everyone I know was praying. I started bleeding at 22
weeks and had to be put in the hospital. The chances of my baby
living was slim at this point. I just put everything into God's
hands. The bleeding stop and I was released to go home a week later.
The doctor informed me I would probably give birth around 28 to 32
weeks pregnant.
I had
another ultrasound at 26 weeks to check everything out again and my
placenta moved 5cm toward the top of my uterus. Thank God!!! The
doctor was in total shock. He said he never has seen a complete
previa at 22 weeks move 4 weeks later. My placenta moved so much
that it even doesn't classifiy as a "low lying" placenta. While
being on cloud nine from my good news, the doctor had to break more
bad news to me. The baby had ventriucalmegialy (mild fluid on the
brain). So I was crushed. I knew God would heal my baby after doing
so with this placenta problem. I had to see another doctor a week
later so they could discuss what was going to happen to the baby.
I couldn't
eat or breathe for the whole week. I prayed and tried to think of
everything positive, but it's
hard to keep positive. I have to leave everything in the Lord's
hands. At the next ultrasounds the fluid was completely gone and our
baby is healthy (very healthy). The baby is measuring almost 2 weeks
over because he is so big. Now my worries are starting to focus on,
how am I going to get such a big baby out of me. All my babies have
been kindof small (the largest being 7lbs 9oz). The doctor said if
the baby keeps growing like this he will easily weigh around 8 1/2
to 9 lbs or even more. I'll just deal with it, I'm
just glad he's healthy. Also during all the ultrasounds we
found out it was a BOY!!. We are now going to be parents to 3 boys
and 3 girls. Pretty even now.
Thanks
everyone for the prayers and please just keep praying that
everything will continue to go great for at least another 4 weeks,
I'm 34 weeks now.
March 2006
I wanted to
give an update on my 2nd reversal pregnancy. I'm almost 27
weeks pregnant. We have had a very complicated pregnancy this time
around. I've now been on bed rest for 5 weeks. I have complete
placenta previa, the placenta is completely covering my cervix. I
have been admitted to the hospital at 22 weeks for a bleed and thank
God it stopped! Now we are looking for the baby to be born at 30 to
34 weeks. So our baby will have to be in the NICU for awhile. It's
going to be very hard leaving my baby at the hospital when I'm
discharged.
I ask
everyone to please say a prayer to help me get as far as long as I
possibly can. The longer the baby stays in me the shorter hospital
stay for the baby. This is all been so scary for my whole family.
It's really tested our faith. You have to give everything to God and
let him do his will. This is our 6th child and probably will be our
last. The placenta could have rooted deep in the uterus (placenta
accreta), this is a side effect of the placenta previa. If this has
happened I will have to have my uterus removed. So we really need
prayers right now.

Hi everyone!
Most we remember I lost a baby in August. I want to thank everyone
again for the prayers and support for the miscarriage. Well just
found out I'm pregnant. I can't believe I got pregnant my very next
cycle. My due date is June 10th. I went to my first
prenatal visit yesterday and everything is going
great. I had an ultrasound and the baby is where it's suppose to be
and has a very good heart rate (140bmp). So my 2nd reversal baby is
due June 10th. have a long way to go. I'm now only 7 weeks.

I went to Mexico to have my reversal on March 1, 2003. I just found
out I am pregnant!!! We are all so excited. We owe all the glory to
God!! If it wasn't for Him this wouldn't be happening. Another
member of the group just posted about being pregnant. She and
I were next door to each other in the hospital in Mexico. For all
that want the details of my reversal here it is: tubes tied on
11-15-95. Reversal on 3-1-03. tubes are 4 to 5 cm on each side. due
date is 9-11-04.

Hi everyone. I want to say thanks for all the prayers that were said
for my family. I am still a little sore, but I wanted to get my
story about our trip to Rio Bravo out forever to read. The one thing
I would like to get across is -- if you're thinking about making an
appointment, do it! This (I think) is the most wonderful and caring
doctor you could ever get to do a tubal reversal! I saw where
someone asked about how many reversals they do, A LOT! Couples just
keep coming. While I was there I got to meet Misti and her husband
from the group. They are wonderful a couple. Misti had already had
her surgery, and I was having mine the next day and she really put
my mind at ease.
Now my story:
We are from NC. My sister went with me on the trip so my husband
could take care of our kids. We got to McAllen, TX @11:33pm. We
already had plans to stay at the Holiday Inn Express, and they were
supposed to pick us up at the airport, but when I called - the lady
said 'sorry but the shuttle isn't running tonight'. So we had to
find a taxi. We did but it took about 30 minutes. It was scary
standing in front of the airport, just 2 women, waiting for a taxi.
The Holiday was a nice place to stay. I was going to call Checker
Cab to take us into Mexico, but the hotel lady recommended Red Top
Taxi. This was a horrible mistake. They quoted me a price of $70 and
charged me $96. He was supposed to pick us up at 12pm and got there
at about 1pm. The cab driver told us he has taken several couples to
the hospital, but we got so lost in Mexico. He stopped and ask about
15 people to give him directions to the Hospital. Levy said it
should've taken us about 20 to 30 minutes to get to the hospital -
it took almost 2 hours!
I went to check in and the hospital and no one was there that spoke
English. I had the sentence "I am here for a tubal reversal" written
in Spanish on a index card and showed it to the nurse she read it
and went to call Levi. Levi talked with me over the phone and told
me they was going to put me into a room and start the surgery prep
in the morning. So the nurse got us into room # 6. Misti was just
next door in room #5. Another women came in the next morning in room
#2, but I'm not sure if she was from the group or not. They brought
a dinner tray to us. Do bring your family member some food with you
and water. Levi came at 6pm and talked with us about what they would
do. He told me he would be there all that day and on Sunday.
Around 6am a nurse came and put my IV in and shaved me. They took me
to surgery @8:05am. My sister didn't come to surgery with me. They
gave me some "sleepy" medicine through my IV and put my epidural in.
Dr.Perez came in I got to meet him right before he started the
surgery. The surgery took about 1 1/2 hours I was back in my room at
10:30am. Levi came in around noon and told me about my surgery. Both
tubes are great (4-5 cm). They found a obstruction in my uterus and
it is blocking the opening to my right tube. So nothing can pass
into my uterus (egg or sperm) and get into my right tube. They were
going to remove the obstruction but I was "cycling" and he couldn't
go up through my uterus while I was cycling. So if at all possible
try and get your appointment around your "cycle". I now have to go
to my OB/GYN in 3 months and let them do further testing and remove
this obstruction. Levi gave me 80% chance to conceive through my
left tube, and said I should have about 80% with my right tube when
my obstruction is removed in the uterus.
Levi came in my room several times that day to check on me. He is
really caring. He even talked with my sister and me for over an hour
at one time. He showed us a picture of his beautiful daughter. I am
very hard headed and don't like to have a "foley". So I begged him
to take this out. He did. So I only had my foley in 4 hours after
surgery. I was sorry for doing that later on in the day! I still had
my IV in me and lots of fluids going in, and what comes in must come
out. I was up every hour using the bathroom. I was so sore and I got
my incision bleeding. I also bumped my hand into the wall of the
bathroom and made my IV pour blood at 3am in the morning. Levi
laughed and said I told you so. He said "The lady in room #2 is
sound a sleep because she left her foley in." I felt like a fool.
As far as the hospital goes it is very clean and everyone is so
nice. You can't understand their language, but you can understand
their expressions and they will smile at you all the time. My
surgery was $1850. On Sunday Levi called a taxi for us so we
wouldn't get lost again. The cab driver's name was Joe Galvan. We
did a detour and went to Reynosa to look around and then back to
McAllen. He charged us $145 to do all this. But believe me he was
worth every penny of it! We shopped around Reynosa about 2 hours and
he walked with us everywhere we went. He showed us sights we would
not have been able to see. He got us good deals on some of the gifts
we wanted to being back to our kids. He was a wonderful can driver.
Going back into USA wasn't hard at all. They asked us why we went
into Mexico and we told them for a surgery and shopping. We showed
them our gifts we brought and they let us through. No big deal at
all. We stayed at the Fairfield Inn that night. It was $73. It was
so much nicer then the Holiday Inn. Their airport shuttle didn't
shut down on us. So everything went smoother.
It's so nice to be home, but I would do this again in a minute!!. It
takes planning and I was able to that because of all the other women
in this group. I would have been so lost with out this group. I want
to say -
Thanks so much!!!
