Just wanted to be a testimony as to the workmanship and skills of
Dr. Perez and Dr. Levi. We had our tubal reversal done on June 26,
2004 and are now 9 weeks pregnant. We've had several ultrasounds
(because my Dr. here in Houston refused to believe that I could
actually conceive that soon after the reversal!!) but yesterday we
saw his/her little heart beat, and she has no choice but to believe.
A very special thank you to the doctors and staff.
God Bless to all,

June 2004
I had my reversal done on the 26th of June 2004...my husband and I
arrived in McAllen on the 25th. I have to say.... from beginning to
end we had a great experience. There was a little mishap getting our
ride to the hospital but we did have our cell phone and Dr. Levy was
available to take our calls and got everything straightened out...
Dr. Levy by the way is a very nice person, he made us feel like part
of his family. The day we arrived he was at a family function, his
niece had just graduated. Shortly after we arrived at the hospital
he and his brother came right over and introduced themselves to us,
and invited us to attend his family function. My husband and I were
both shocked....how many Dr.'s in the us have opened there personal
lives to their patients and made them feel both welcomed and at
home. We were able to meet his sister , his brother and his wife and
children, Dr. Levy’s wife and his little girl, his aunts and
uncles...wonderful people...to just label it as friendly would be a
huge understatement. We felt like part of the family. My husband and
I both can't even begin to express in words the warmness we felt
while in Dr. levy's care. Again...should you read this Dr.
levy...thank you so much for your hospitality.
As far as the surgery itself, I have to admit it was a little more
than I thought it would be...physically. The only way I can describe
the way I felt after all of the pain meds wore off is....remember
when you were in elementary school and you thought all the
"presidential physical fitness awards" really came from the
president and you wanted to give your all, and you did like a
million sit-ups in two seconds....remember what your mid section
felt like two days later....well that’s how I felt. I was sooooo
sore. Other than that I was fine. The only thing I can offer to
others to make their stay better is to make sure you bring a couple
of nice pillows and some Advil for the trip home. I did bring one
pillow and some of the ice packs mentioned on the web site, but I
really wish I had brought another pillow and some Advil.
It's now been nine days since my surgery and I am getting back into
the swing of things. Make sure you have someone at home to
help...because without my husband and mother I don't think I would
have been doing as well as I am. I was sent home with antibiotics
and anti-inflammatory meds. My incision site has healed wonderfully
with no infection what so ever. My mother and sister-in-law are both
in the medical field and have checked upon my well-being and have
made sure everything is going as it should. Again to reduce the
swelling make sure you bring ice packs and apply them after surgery
as well as when you get home.
As far as the reconstruction of my tubes are concerned...originally
prior to my tubal, I had 7cm of tubes on each side...I now have 5 on
the left and 4 on the right.
trust in Jesus....through him all things are possible.
God bless
