May 2007

I called my dr's office to get my HCG results.  She said at 5 weeks mine should be in the 1000's but mine was only 175. I assume that means my baby is "gone".  I feel fortunate to have ever gotten pregnant and I will again and with all the info I have learned from losing this angel, I'll be able to make sure the next one sticks. I am  just ready to heal and get back to being pregnant again.

April 2007

I haven't had the BETA yet but I did get a BFP on a test this morning...oh so faint but the closest I have ever gotten. Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy I am speechless!  HOLLIE MARTIN IS PREGNANT!

August 2006

We drove to Rio Bravo from Athens TX. It was about a 10 hour drive. I would not suggest driving yourself. In hindsight I think it would have been much easier to take the shuttle instead.

We arrived around 4:30 and Dr. Levi just happened to be at the front desk. He called Dr. Perez and since I had not eaten they were going to do my surgery that night. I think it was around 5:30 when I was wheeled in. Dr. Moreno gave me some medicine, the last thing I remembered was someone asking me where I drove from, I don't even remember getting the epidural at all. I woke up and looked at the clock and it said 6:30 and I remember thinking why is it taking so long and I could feel some pressure. Dr. Moreno asked how I was and I told him I could feel it and he gave me some medicine and I went back to sleep. I remember them taking me back to a different room and seeing my husband and then I was in and out after that. Dr. Levi came in during the night and told me that I had to be repaired quite a bit so that must have been why I thought it was taking a long time.

The next morning Dr. Levi told me I had been given a partial fymbriectomy on one side and my tube had been cut close to the uterus on the other side. They repaired what they could and I was left with 5cm on the LT and 4 RT. I think that is a miracle considering all that had been done before. I still have a great chance and I am looking forward to having another baby.

Thank you to everyone at the hospital you are all wonderful people. God bless all of you and I pray that you will continue to help other families like mine.

Sincerely,
Hollie (34)and James(38) Martin
