October 2006 Hi, my name is Angie Salazar. I had my TR on October 7. My husband and I had been searching for a doctor for about two years. By the grace of God we found Dr. Perez and Dr. Levi. We started our journey from Colorado City, Tx to Rio Bravo on October 6. My mother and her husband took us. It was a 12 hour drive, but I really enjoyed the trip. My family and I arrived at the airport at 9pm, where we met Dr. Levi's mother-in-law (very sweet lady). She then drove us to Rio Bravo to the hospital. My husband and I stayed at the hospital that night. I didn't get much sleep that night because I was kind of nervous. The next morning a nurse came in and got me ready for surgery. Then Dr. Levi came in we filled out paper work and I was off to surgery. When I got into the surgery room I told my husband to look for the cross. He took a picture of it, and it really is beautiful. Everyone in the OR was really nice. They explained everything that they were doing to me. I slept through most of the surgery. I remember waking up and asking my husband if they had already started. The surgery went really well. After my surgery they took me back to my room, I could not stop laughing cause I could not feel my legs. Dr. Levi's wife came to take my husband shopping. He returned a couple of hours later with some of the most beautiful jewelry. (So for all of you that are planning a trip to Rio Bravo be sure to stop by her store. His wife makes some very nice jewelry). After the surgery I was in more pain than what I thought I'd be in. The nurses were pretty good about taking care of that. The next day I got up took a shower, walked around, went and paid Dr. Levi and talked to a couple of other ladies that had there surgery the same day I did. Dr. Levi's mother-in-law picked us up from the hospital and took us back to the airport. I would like to thank Dr. Perez, Dr. Levi, and all the staff for the wonderful care. It's been 3 weeks since my surgery and I feel great! God willing, my husband and I will start trying for our little one in about a month and a half. We have 7 children, I have 5 and he has 2, Alexandra-14, Sebastian-12, Robert-10, Brandon-7, Dillon-5 and Alexander-13, Jeremiah-9. We are hoping for at least one that is ours together. Please pray for us, as we will be praying for all of you.
