Feb 2008

My Finace' and I live in Arizona and have been together for 5 years. (newly engaged as of May 2007). We have been discussing having tubal reversal surgery since 2004 2 years into our relationship. I have 4 children ages 16, 15, 12 and 10.   After I had my youngest in 1997 I decided since my ex-husband and I weren't doing very well in our relationship and also considering we already had 4 children I better get my tubes tied.  So that is what I did in Feb 1998.  My Fiance' doesn't have quite that many children as I do.  So we thought long and hard about this and made the choice to go with it. After a few years we finally just said lets do it. During this time I would constantly go to the website and read the testimonies.  After calling for an appointment it was about 3 weeks until surgery time! I counted down the days!

We finally arrived! It was evening about 5:30pm and we waited for the shuttle service. (which I recommend) It was raining so much that weekend on and off. We arrived and checked in then called a cab to take us to dinner ,.. which was fun! We went back to the hospital and relaxed and wacthed movies we brought! Then slept and woke up when they came in to prep me for surgery! I met Dr. Levi's brother who is also a Dr. Diaz.  He is very nice and helpful he explained everything to us we went into surgery around noon or so. I remember when we got in the room I looked for the cross that everybody is always talking about I had my Finace' video tape it! lol . They gave me medication to relax me then started the epidural which I don't even remember. I recall waking up during the end of the surgery asking my tube lenghts then dosing back off.

After surgery we relaxed watched movies and later that night ordered pizza. I was in some pain. The next day after the took the catheter and epidural out and it was time to get outta bed, I so badly wanted to cry. I was in a lot of pain but did my best to remember that this pain wouldn't last forever! We go home and it took me about 10 days to feel better! It was all worth it! we were told we couldn't start trying until Nov. 2/2007 which we did.

I am now 16 weeks and found out we are having a boy! We are both excited and will update you with pictures when the baby is born!

Thanks to all the staff and DR. who helped make this possible!
