March 2008 Hi! My name is Staci Magallanes. My husband Guillermo and our 14-year old daughter traveled from Washington State for my reversal. Guillermo and I have been married for over 15 years. In 2002, we made a decision not to have any more children. By late 2007, we both felt strongly that we had made a mistake and started researching how we could reverse what had been done. We had a consultation with a U.S. doctor who wanted a small fortune and basically gave us no chance of successfully reversing the procedure or to have another child. I was disappointed to say the least. My husband, who is a strong believer in God’s power and promises, assured me there were other options and he would find them. The following weekend we were watching the news and saw a story about medical tourism, which eventually led Guillermo to Dr. Perez’ website. We arrived in McAllen the morning of February 15th, the day my surgery was scheduled. The shuttle driver was right where we were told he would be. He loaded us up and took us to the hospital along with another couple (from Northern CA?). I apologize for forgetting your names. Upon arriving at the hospital, my family and I were led to a room with a private bath and a place for everyone to get comfortable. We were at the hospital until Sunday morning. We were provided with healthy meals, lots of water and the room was kept clean. When it was time for my surgery I was taken by wheel chair to the operating room where Dr. Perez was sitting on a bench waiting. Dr. Perez, Dr. Levi and their staff are awesome, caring people! I was prepped for the epidural and somewhere along the way went totally lights out.. I awoke to some tugging and a little discomfort. I remember asking if we were successful and someone answered “yes”. The crucifix on the wall caught my eye and I thanked Jesus for everything! I have 5cm of tube on each side! For me, the reversal is extremely therapeutic; I feel whole. I would definitely recommend Dr. Perez and Dr. Levi. Guillermo and I now wait for God to bless us with another child.
