June 2008

I  just wanted to update that I had my HSG and after a little bit of work they are open and all cleaned out and both open!

The doctor said Dr. Perez and Dr. Levi did a wonderful job and told the others in the room that when she needed any surgery she was going to Mexico herself. How funny to hear a US doctor say that well she said the next 2 months are my best chances so hopefully I'll be updating this very soon with a BFP!!

February 2008

Hello! My name is Michelle and my husband is Chris we have been married for 11yrs. We have 2 kids our daughter is 13yrs and our son is 7yrs we decided after our son was born as a preemie to have our tubes tied because we were scared of having anymore sick babies. But a few years ago we learned it was due to the medicines I was taking and all the stress involved. He is now a very healthy and happy boy and we would love to have more kids so that's when we decided to have the reversal. I can across several Doctors but the prices were so high then we found Dr. Perez and the price was alot better but it was in Mexico which scared me. But i did the research and seen all the others who had went and there testimonies and was very excited so I told my dh and he had no problems going.

So we waited for our tax check and we called and scheduled our surgery which was suppose to be Feb.17 we flew out Feb15 early morning and arrived in Harlingen,Tx at 1pm called Marcos for the shuttle and the driver was there within a 1/2hr we had to pick up another couple at the Mcallen airport then off we were. We were going to stay at the Mexico hotel that night but they took us straight to the hospital and we were told we would have the surgery that night. O.K. I was really scared at that point I hadn't slept in 24hrs and I had a sandwich and coke at the airport while we waited for the driver since we were told the earliest we could have our surgery was Sat. the 16th so i worried about eating and the 1 important thing I forgot to bring was the english/spanish book and the nurses try to understand you but they don't speak english at all. So they kept saying surgery at 7pm I never meet Dr Levi or Dr. Perez but another Dr. came in and I told him about the food and coke and he said it would be ok they would do my surgery at 9pm. So the nurse came in and put my IV and left so I decided to try and take a nap. Well it worked the next thing I know was they came in and i was in a wheelchair and off to the OR were I saw Dr Perez sitting on a bench then I was on the table getting my sleepy juice and the Dr asking if I was OK I said I was scared and he said I would be alright. The next thing I remember is waking up during surgery and feeling the yanking and pulling at first it wasn't bad then it started hurting alot so they kept putting me in and out I remember Dr. Levi telling me I wouldn't remember my tube lengths which I do he said they were 6/7 on both sides but due to my c-sections and my other Dr not being to nice to my insides I had alot of scar tissue so I needed to take it easy and be careful so I wouldn't get any more scar tissue. I was back in my room at 11pm.  I didn't feel all that great I was nauseated and in alot of pain so they gave me some medicine then I was in sleepy land. I woke up around 6am with the feeling that I had to pee I told the nurse but (why did I forget that book) she didn't understand just kept saying no you don't so they gave me more medicine and i feel back asleep I woke up around 11am was in so much pain from having to pee that I was begging my husband to get the Dr so I could get the catheter out well after a dozen mementos about 1hr later they took it out and I went to the bathroom and went for atleast 2 mins straight. I felt 99% better then I took a shower and was released at 2pm.

we took the shuttle back with another couple which were very nice but can't remember there names. We went back to Harlingen for the night stayed at Holiday Inn it was a nice hotel and that sunday we were flying back home luckily we had flown stand-by on the way back home I work for a airline so I got a great discounts but you normally board last but since I was in a wheelchair which I totally would tell everybody to do we boarded first which if you fly southwest you know why that's a good thing.

I'm 11 days post-op but I feel really good I would totally tell anybody to go if they want a reversal it's truly safe and the nurses do try hard to understand just take the book. I would do it again in a heart beat and would highly recommend them. Hopefully I will be able to post a pregnancy very soon
